The standard average particle size is in the range of 31 ~ 500 nm. Carbon black produced by gas furnace method and hot cracking method and a small part of carbon black produced by oil furnace method also belong to soft carbon black.
super abrasion furnace black; SAF
The particle size of carbon black for rubber is 11 ~ 19 nm. When used in rubber products, its wear resistance is better than other kinds of carbon black. It is mainly produced by oil furnace method. However, due to low yield, high cost, large heat generation, short scorch time, and difficult processing, the amount used in rubber products is small.
intermediate super abrasion furnace black; ISAF
A main variety of hard carbon black, produced by oil furnace method, with particle size of 20 ~ 25 nm. Structurally, it can be divided into high structure, standard structure and low structure derivatives. It can endow rubber with high tensile strength, tear strength, wear resistance and aging performance. It can significantly improve the wear resistance and puncture resistance of tires when used in tire tread.
high abrasion furnace black; HAF
The most commonly used variety of hard carbon black is produced by oil furnace method, with particle size of 26 ~ 30 nm

The tensile strength, tear strength, wear resistance and aging properties of rubber products are second only to those of CSL wear-resistant carbon black. Due to the large particle size and high structure, it can give the rubber good processability and high constant elongation stress, low elongation and hardness, small heat generation and good thermal conductivity, and superior high temperature resistance. Applicable to NR and Sr.
general purpose furnace black; GPF
An important variety of soft carbon black, produced by oil furnace method, with particle size of 49 ~ 60 nm. The particle size is slightly smaller, which can give the compound higher constant elongation stress, good processability, high resilience and flexion flexibility. It is suitable for NR and Sr. It is mainly used in tire ply, lower tread, sidewall and inner tube.
semi-reinforcing purpose furnace black; SRF
One of the main varieties of soft carbon black is divided into gas furnace method and oil furnace method. The particle size is 61 ~ 100nm. Give the compound high elongation, low heat generation, high elasticity and good aging resistance. It is applicable to NR and Sr, and has both reinforcing and filling effects on NBR and Cr. It is mainly used in various rubber products for carcass buffer rubber and cord rubber.
